The most noticeable difference is the 80$ price difference (3000 is the cheaper one). The PSP Go is smaller, looks more like a phone, has built-in memory (16 MB), and you must download the games onto this memory. So you don`t have to go to the store to buy games on UMD, like on PSP 3000, which is more convenient, but it means that losing PSP = losing all games, also you can`t trade them with friends. PSP Go is also more breakable and controls are weird. Thomas Norrington

The last digit is just there to represent the country where the model can be commercialized; this is due to some games copyright issues because some games can be sold in a few countries and cannot be sold in other countries so, the number is just there to point a geographical difference, not a technical one

There are a few diff like the 3000 is a little brighter, and lighter in weight, and if u hav a hd tv you can buy cables to hook your psp up to your tv and play it. Besides that not much diff. So if u really don't want to spend that much money i would just go for a used psp 1000, but be careful where you get it. I would get it at Game Stop.

They both play movies and music. The difference? Well the PSP3000 has a larger screen and can also play UMD discs so you can get lots of games that the PSP go cant play. You can also buy used games or trade/sell the games when you are done with them. The PSP go has no UMD drive and can only play games that you buy and download from the PSN store. PSP 3000 can also download digital copies of games from the store. So the PSP Go basically has less games and a smaller screen, plus the controls are closer together which take a bit to get used to if you had an older PSP first.

The psp 300 is like %11 thinner not sure bout the length of the screen sorry mate, and the psp 3000 supports the same games as the psp slim (psp 2000) so u cant say the games are better :)

like the name says PSP slim and lite weighs less than the original PSP with a slightly brighter screen . The PSP 3000 updated slim & lite with more a ergo-friendly design with the disc tray, new buttons and some other little commodities. If you're interested in buying a PSP and don't mind the price just go with the PSP 3000 because its basically the superior (somewhat) of all three. and yes the Slim and Lite is the PSP 2000.

lol. im sure the box would change. but one main difference is that the HOME button on the slim says HOME but in the 3000, it has the Playstation logo instead. and in the pictures, its hotter. and theyre bound to make sure it says psp 3000 somewhere. or maybe a new psp name.

the newer one is slimmer, faster and looks better, but the psp 1000 (original) is way better once you hack it. The new one does have a microphone so if your into skype perhaps you'd rather this one. If it were me I'd rather the psp 2000. It's looks about the same as 3000 except no mic and the circle on the back is the same as the 1000. But it has the same ram as the 3000 and you are able to put custom firmware onto it just as easy as the 1000. The only real advantage that the 1000 has against the 2000 is this thing on the top of it (infrarer red) next to the usb port which allows you to use it as remote control for your tv and other devices eg. radio and remote control cars (again this is only with custom firmware)
