psp 3000 rocks i have a bunch of umd games and a bunch of downloaded games, ps1ect.... 16 gig memory card and psp 3000 is like 70$ cheaper, in fact i typed this message from my psp though remote play, i wouldn`t buy anything as soon as it came out anyway because theres sure problems

PSP 3000 seems to be an obvious winner because it will take all of the PSP GO downloads plus it can play UMDs, PSP GO is mostly for people who wand an ipod like thing whereas the 3000 is for gamers so if you like games go 3000.

Obviously the psp 3000 is much better. Larger screen and clearer graphics. Sure the go does boost a slight increase in power but its barely recognisable in performance. As for price.. It is cheaper but you gotta pay for a better mem stick with the 3000. Its not problem though coz you can pick up decent ones (SD or Sony) quite cheap from eBay.
Imo, The psp 3000 wins hands down. You wouldnt pay more money to watch films or music videos on smaller screens would you? Its also a lot more suited to adults.. The games for download for the go actually are pretty babyish.

psp go sucks you can`t re sell your older games like you can with psp3000 or any other psp with umd support. I can finish my games pretty quickly and sell it on ebay for at least half the price i bought it for. So example 39.99 only equals 20 dollars a game. vs psp go 39.99 is 39.99.

You can`t use UMD`s on the psp go at all. so if you find a good deal at a Garage Sale or whatever, you`re screwed, get the 3000 imo

The comparison is just won by the PSP 3000. Think about they have nearly the exact same features with the exception of bluetooth. You can still download the games on the PSP 3000. The PSP Go is slicker and slides. But, it cannot play alot of the games that the PSP 3000 can and can`t play UMD movies. The price also makes a big difference between the PSP Go and the PSP 3000, you could buy the PSP 3000 and 2 8GB memory cards from amazon for a lower price. I might have to lean towards the PSP 3000 because it has a better price, quality, larger screen, and 99/100s of the same features that the Go has.

i dont really know which is better. im looking for one of these products for my bday on new years day and im really confused and its making me pissed off. i dont have a psp already so its not definate tht i shud get the 3000. i love both of them and i dnt really know which one to get. i think really if ur a new commer to psp`s then choose by yourself which one u prefere and which one you think has a better reputation and which is sexiest. but if u have a psp 1000 or 2000 then get a 3000 coz it has umd`s and bigger screen. where im confused is tht psp go is umd free so u dnt have to carry games around, plus its smaller so u can put it in ur pocket and maybe slightly better graphics.. but the anologue stick is in a very awkward position.. i dont think id be able to reach tht far with my fingers... :S but 3000 has all the things tht a psp go has but one or two seconds slower at everything.. doesnt have bluetooth and thts it... so its really up to u which u prefere if ur new to psp`s but if u alredy have a psp go for 3000.. this is where im struggling at.. which one do i prefere out of the two... as im a new commer to psp`s... :( any help??

i don`t really see a problem with the 3000 it has a built in microphone for online play and is a great system all around, i don`t really care for the GO though because it only has download play, basically if you don`t have wireless internet your screwed cause that`s the only way you can play games, by downloading them of psn, personally i`d rather go for the psp 3000

They are NOT stopping making UMD`s, at least games wise. I think they stopped putting films on them years ago.
Personally I would go for a PSP-3000. While the Go! has built in memory you can easily buy a memory card for the 3000 (Up to 16GB at the moment) which means you can download games etc anyway. There is also a fairly decent back catalogue on UMD, which you wouldn`t be able to use on a GO! as only certain games are being re-released on digital format.
Plus there is the obvious reason that it is cheaper than the GO!
Last thing if you are going to get an iPod Touch, don`t. Wait a couple of months as if I remember right they are releasing a new one in a few months alongside a new iPod Nano.
