i prefer the fiber glass bathtubs over the acrylic one and the reason is that the fiber glass bath tubes are very beautiful in terms of the design and the reliablility. the fiber glass is more costly than that of the acrylioc but the reliablility and credibility is far more better than the acrylic bath tubs.

Acrylic tubs are very good to use. They are non-pourous and dirt can easily be cleaned with a sponge. It will cost you somewhere around $2000. It is more glossy and is more durable than fibreglass. However, if you use a fibreglass tub and coat it with gel gloss every six months, it will also do good. It is also a matter of your choice but nonetheless, acrylic is always much easier to clean.

If i would need a new bath i totally would choose acrylic one because it is not heavy and i wouldn`t have problems with installing it. So why shouldn`t it hold for a long time. Just one thing i have heard that there is problems to cleans some stains out of acrylic bathes so you should search for speacial cleaning tools but not always that is the problem. If you want the easyest way to install your new bath tub you should choose acrylic one because it is not heavy and you won`t have problems to it in thr right place. But i have heard that you may have problems with cleaning some satins from it but for me it won`t be such a big problem because there are many of cleaning possibilities Judith Foster :)

IN FACT there are so many factors which tells that your bath tub is acrylic or not. the first factor is this that if the magnet does not sticks to your bath tub then your bath tub is acrylic otherwise its made of iron steel . the second factor is that the actylic bathtubs are very easy to scratch as compare to the iron steel bath tubs.
