firstly, put the file named `usrcheat.dat` in the folder cheats present in the folder _rpg, then, switch on your DS. in the menu screen, press y, then again y, then R shoulder button. you will see cheat in game (ar), switch it on. later when you are about select the game, press y, then select cheats.
