Q. Will i get taxed twice if i purchase psp games from the psp network store?
if you buy a playstation network card from what i heard you get charged tax. i live in new york and i heard that new york citizens get charged tax again if they buy from the network store. would this mean that it's cheaper to buy psp games from the store directly than to buy the psn store card and then download the games? i'm mainly asking this because i'm deciding between psp 3000 or psp go and i'd hate it if this is true.

"Not as big a choice of games as there are on umd though..."

... you don't get a taxed at all... whoever told you that is a lier... pspgo is awesome from the reviews i've seen! not as big a choice of games as there are on UMD though but more are being released over psn

Q. Should i get a psp 3000 or a psp go?
i don't have a ps3 but i can still use my computer to download games and stuff from the psn to my go if i get one right? i don't mind downloading stuff i do it all the time on my ipod nano but i still am not sure which to get are games cheaper on the psn than if i bought the umd? i've already checked the list of games available for download and they have most of the ones that i want and a lot of new ones are already there so i would assume that any new games that come out will be there pretty quickly

Q. In your humble opinion, which one is better: the psp 3000 or psp go?
i asked my mother if she'd think about buying me a new psp if i give my little brother my old psp 2000. she said, "we'll see." i don't know if my mom would be willing to pay the extra $50 dollars for the psp go but if she would, i'd have two choices. for the sake of this question, let's assume that my mother is willing to spend the money to buy me a psp go. what system is, in your opinion, better? each has its pros and cons, obviously. i like the psp go because of the fact that the owner no longer has to carry around fragile u.m.d.s and a good-sized case in which to fit multiple games. i like the psp 3000 because of its brighter screen and anti-glare technology. however, i have heard it has problems with its screen and "feels cheaper." that typed, how bad are the screen lacing problems [if that's even the correct name]? i won't be the least bit bothered if they only make an appearance during cutscenes but if they're present throughout the whole game, i might get annoyed. i admit that i'm apprehensive about downloading games via the playstation network if i get a psp go. the amount of memory sony gives psp go buyers doesn't seem like enough if one has many games and saves them often. which system has more memory? oh and don't tell me to buy a dsi because you think psps suck. i already have one and that wasn't the question asked. whomever can answer my questions shall be awarded with the highest number of points. thanks. kayla: my family already has one. while you're entitled to your own opinion, i asked you to choose between two of sony's portable game consoles. if you cannot answer the question asked, don't waste your energy. it's rude.

"Go does not allow you to download games from the internet..."

Well, in the online society right now, they are lots of functions & upgrades for PSP 2000 PSP Go does not allow you to download games from the internet , while PSP 2000 allows. (Im not sure about 3000) PSP Go has a smaller screen, which is not good for the eyes. The best is still PSP 2000 But if you choose between GO or 3000, I say go for 3000!

Q. Psp go or psp 3000? which is better? please answer!!!?
ok, so here's the deal. i have a psp phat(original) but it's kinda in a bad shape. it has many problems....so i am getting a new psp. i live in india and i am going to go to malaysia and singapore, it will be cheaper there. so, here are the questions: can i hack a psp go to play free downloaded games? (my psp phat was hacked) what is the price of psp go and psp 3000 in malaysia? which one provides a better expierence? is psp go to small compared to phat? will i enjoy it? i do not have wifi by the way, so i cannot download games directly to the psp i heard somewhere that psp go does not have a usb slot. is it true? if yes, then how can i transfer data onto the psp go from the computer?? and by the way, i still have many umds for psp phat(though i dont play many) so if go is hackable than i can download them but if it is not then i will have to choose 3000. thank you in advance. i really look forward to everyone helping me. and i am a 14 year old so please try to keep the language simple and not too technological. any help would be useful.

pspGo is not hackable. Yet. go for psp3000

Q. Should i get the psp go or the psp 3000 core pack.?
i wanted to know which one would be better for me to get. the psp go is a lot smaller than the psp, but the psp go is a lot more expensive then the psp. but theres always amazon or ebay to get a cheaper one. and theres something i want to know about the psp go. i know you an download games right on the psp go from the game store thing but can u also buy the games from gamestop.? i have looked at some pictures of the psp go and i didnt see any place where you can put games right into it. so does that mean you can only download games for it.?

"I wish i had gotten the psp 3000 instead because then i could..."

PSP go isnt that great. I have to download all my games and if there is no internet connection, then I cant get any games. I would sell my PSP go but I cant sell my games on it because they are downloaded. I wish I had gotten the PSP 3000 instead because then I could play my old PSP games that I have. Get the PSP 3000 core pack.

Q. Should i buy a psp go or psp 3000 slim & lite?
i need to get a new psp and don't know whether to buy a psp go or a psp 3000 slim & lite. the psp go looks really good, but does not have a umd slot and i would have to pay to download the games to the psp go console (well, i think thats what happens, there defiantly is no umd slot). the psp 3000 slim & lite is a lot cheaper and can play my psp game without any need to pay to download them to my psp console. however, it is not as good as the psp go console. also, the psp go has a really good offer, where you get 10 games to download for free ( an their good games that are new out like fifa world cup). i dont really know much about psps, so any help and advice will be appreciated.

"I don't know the list of games that come free with the psp go..."

Firstly, the 3000 is just as good as the Go, if not better. Even though the Go is newer, both consoles have the same software so there really are only very minor differences. You can get UMDs really cheap second hand now, so that's another advantage. I don't know the list of games that come free with the PSP Go, but if you like them, then go for it. Also, if you have a slow internet connection, do not, I repeat, DO NOT GET A GO!

Q. Interested in getting a psp. need some advice from psp owners?
i wanna get a psp, but ther's some complications..as far as i noe, ther's 2models of 'new psp' available: i)psp-2000 (original ver. & modified ver.) ii)psp-3000 (only original ver.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i)original cost less(~rm700+) ii)modified cost more(~rm1100+) original ver. can only play original umd games while modified ver. can play games purchased by downloading it to memory stick by d store seller itself. but i heard ther's new psp go. should i get: i)modified psp-2000 (psp is more expensive, but games cost much less, can play more games!) ii)original psp-2000 (psp is cheaper, but original games will cost more, i can't afford much games) iii)original psp-3000 (is psp-3000 worth d buy??) iv)or wait for psp go (i don even noe wat new features in it..) thanks for ur opinion!

"You can do this now with the psp 2000 and i think 3000..."

I have an original PSP 1000 (Modified) which means I can download games to my computer, copy them to my memory card and play them that way. I never pay for games! You can do this now with the PSP 2000 and i think 3000. PSP-2000 (the PSP "light") has a microphone attachment or it's built in, but either way, this makes it really easy to use skype on PSP-2000 or higher. (PSP-1000 doesn't have that capability :( I'd say PSP-2000 if u really wanna save $$, but PSP-3000 if you want most current tech. Either way, before you do anything, DON'T UPGRADE THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE! You want to keep the oldest system software on it until you can get it modified and firmware enabled. Surf the web on instrucitons for "installing custom firmware" to whatever version you end up getting. Not sure if you still need a "Pandora Battery" for first conversion, but google that, or "Team M33," and that should get you going to figure out how to "hacks" your "PSP" ;)

Q. Should i get a psp-3000 or psp go?
cost is not really a factor here. i have to save for it regardless of which one i get, and if psp go is gonna be better, then i will wait. however, i'm not sure which one to get. is the psp go any more/less durable than the 3000? is downloading all the games annoying, how big are the game files usually? this is something which is a major factor, as there we only have so many gb worth of downloads a month. also, an advantage to the psp go is pirating the games would be easier (therefore, it would probably end up cheaper in the long run) oh, don't give me crap about illeagally downloading stuff, i already know it's illeagal and blah blah blah

"There are also games that have less than 500mb and..."

For me I have the PSP Go (I used to have PSP 2000). Personally, I love it. It's really small and light. I also use it as my mp3 player and it fits in my pocket =). I wouldn't even bother trying that for the 3000. I already dropped it 3 times but it still works perfectly fine. As for the games, most games range from 500-800MB, the biggest that I know of is 1.8GB (Final Fantasy VIII) and it took me 60 mins or so to download and install it (straight from the PSP). Though you can also download games through the Media Go (PC) but I haven't tried it (my PC is ancient). There are also games that have less than 500MB and the PSP Minis are less than 100MB. The only thing that bothers me is that how will the slide screen hold up in the long run. (but I've had it since Oct. 09 and it hasn't gone loose yet)

Q. Which psp version should i get?
i have a ds lite (loving it) though i would also like to have another portable system which is the psp. and to fight the fanboyism in this world because both systems are great in their own kind of way. on topic, i'm pretty confused in which psp version to get. should i buy the psp 1000, which they say is heavier due to the metal ring ( i dont know where it is) inside the psp therefore sturdier, has slower ram than the other two (but will downloaded games on your memory stick fix this? i mean the loading times of the games). and is cheaper. or how about the psp slim, which is slimmer lighter, and is said to have a better dpad and buttons than its predecessor ( is it true? i kinda have used the 1000 and the 2000 but the slim's button felt cheap,), and holding it felt pretty awkward for me. but it has a birighter screen. does the slim have a higher contrast ratio than the 1000's? oh and about the tv output, not sure if i'll use this feature, because one of the main purposes of me thinking of buying a psp is its portability. i love the deep red color of the psp slim or should i buy the psp 3000 which has screen issues like horizontal jaggies and scanlines? do they really look that bad? i mean they say that fast moving images and games like racing games are unplayable on the 3000. and sony announced that it is a hardware issue and they have no reason to fix it. and the psp 3000 is unhackable unless you have the little blue tool. help is much appreciated. and please don't get angry at me much for choosing the pirate path. merry christmas! edit : lite blue tool

"And once you have custom firmware the psp 1000 and psp 2000 screens both..."

i own both the PSP 1000 and the PSP 2000 both running Custom firmware. i play the PSP 2000 more so due to it being lighter and easier to handle for longer periods of time. and once you have Custom Firmware the PSP 1000 and PSP 2000 screens both have the same level of brightness...dark-alex added a level for the PSP 1000. and the PSP 1000 has the IR port so it could be used as a universal remote. they are mostly the same price if you buy them from a store like eb games/ gamestop and you'll have to buy them used as the PSP 3000 is the only one stores sell new. get the 2000 and hack it...good luck

Q. Which three should i buy? ipad, iphone 3gs, nintendo dsi xl, psp go, psp 3000, and xbox 360 elite?
i am a current ps3 slim and nintendo wii owner. i have never had any of these systems before which is the reason why i want to pick the best three as possible. so, i never had an ipad (because it came out today) never had an iphone, never had a nintendo ds, never had any kind of psp, and never had any xbox 360 before ever. so, if everybody who answers this question reads this, i would really appreciate it. okay, lets start off with the apple ipad. i want the apple ipad because it is new and just came out today. everybody wants an ipad if they do not have one, and it is the most poular thing out there right now, and it has a 10.3 inch screen display. now, i really think that the ipad might have some bugs in it since it just came out, but i think that apple takes care of the viruses and bugs because they are one of the best companies out there. but, i really like the iphone because this will be my first phone and my parents had approved on it which took a very long time to do. the iphone has games, music, apps. and a lot more. so, if i buy the ipad and the iphone i think that it would be very stupid of me to do that because the ipad is the same exact thing as the iphone accept it has a larger screen. plus, i already have a pc. anyway, the nintendo dsi xl is amazing with a 93% larger screens than the nintendo ds lite. but, what stinks is that a few days before the nintendo dsi xl came out nintendo announced that they will release the nintendo 3ds sometime between now and march 31st 2011. so, it could be released in a year. plus, i heard that it will replace the whole nintendo ds series, even the nintendo dsi xl. my parents are convinced to let me buy the nintendo dsi xl right now, and then buy teh nintendo 3ds in a year because i am buying everything from my money. so, should i buy the nintendo dsi xl and the nintendo 3ds or just the nintendo dsi xl because the nintendo 3ds might not be amazing, or should i wait and buy the nintendo 3ds? now, to the psp series. i like the psp 3000 because it has a large 4.3 inch screen. but, the problem is that sony mught discontinue the psp 3000 because it is getting very old and the lifespan is almost over. so, if any of you say that not all of the umd games are on the playstation network for you to download for the psp go, well you would be wrong because every single game that i like on umd is available on playstation network, so that should not be a big problem, also pricing is not an issue at all. but, here comes the problem, my dad told me that since the nintendo 3ds is coming out, sony might come out with a newer version of the psp to compete with the nintendo 3ds, because when nintendo released the nintendo dsi, they released the psp go six months after, to compete. also, yesterday tehre was some news that sony might come out with a new psp because some guy said it by accident, and they might announce it at e3 2010. so, i have talked enough about the psp so lets go to the xbox 360 eltie. i am a huge fan of the halo series, fable series, and a huge fan of xbox live. but, you know how the xbox was released in 2005, and the elite came out in 2007, well the elite was the same thing as the xbox 360 pro, but they were black and had 120gb. so, litterly the xbox 360 came out in 2005. but, since it is the oldest console in this generation, i am afraid that xbox might come out with a new system maybe in 2011, or 2012. also because they make a price drop every year and now they are $299.99 and if next year they are $199.99 then they are too cheap and the company would have to make a new system. but, do they have to make a price drop? or can they just keep it at $299.99 and then when project natal make it $399.99, so will they keep it expensive or decrease the price and come out with a new xbox. because in 2004 i got a playstation 2 slim and i thought that it was too old, but then people said that it wasn't then two years later the ps3 came out and i was sony dissapointed that i wasn't able to get the ps3 because i wasted my money on the ps2 and my parents didn't let me, but now i got the ps3 slim on black friday so it was not a huge problem, but will xbox come out with a new system because i do not want to miss out on the new one. and should i just be happy with what i have and not buy teh xbox 360 elite. anyway, thank you for those who read this all. ohhh, just remembered that if i buy teh ipad i will buy the 16gb wi-fi version which is $499.00. who ever explains the most and gives the best detail i will give five stars and ten points, and if you write two sentences you are not going to get the best answer. so, thanks everybody and type a lot!!! p.s: i do not know if the ipad is the same exact thing as the iphone because then it would not be worth it, also, i already have a pc!

1. You'll be fine with just the PS3 for now. 2. Get an Android OS phone, such as the HTC Evo 4G that will be out this summer. Read this Engadget article on it, they cover it well. http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/23/htc-evo-4g-is-sprints-android-powered-knight-in-superphone-armo/ 3. For a PMP, you should go with a Zune HD. Since you can just keep putting 32 GB cards into the HTC Evo, you might not even need a PMP; so wait until the Zune HD 2 is released with the Tegra 2 chip. I have a Zune HD now and it's great. Also about the phone, Qualcomm expects dual core, 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon powered phones to be on the market by the end of this year. So you might want to hold out. The iPhone HD is also supposed to be released this year, and the ARM processor may be dual core. Just wait it out a few months. Last but not least, you're better off buying a full blown gaming desktop than the top priced iPad. Or at least buy a nice laptop. Here's something to think about concerning the iPad. The apps are much, much more expensive http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/05/editorial-ipad-prices-are-out-of-control-and-will-kill-us-all/
