This is a very sad story. You know that when you get a dog you have to think that you MUST keep it for the rest of his life. Now if you really can`t take care of it anymore, the best for him would be to give it to some friends, someone he knows. Because breaking up with the master the dog loves will be painful and difficult. It is better if he stays with someone he knows. If not, you can find some pet shelter and leave him there for adoption, eventually he will fin another family Jack Russel

Vinegar! Sop up as much urine as you can and soak the spot with vinegar. And then blot till as dry as possible. The vinegar neutralizes the urine so no more smell.

Part of the reason that dog hair sticks to cloths is static cling. Use an anti-static fabric softener sheet in the dryer. You can rub the fabric softener sheet directly on your clothes too. Washing brushing and grooming the dog will intercept hairs before they get on you. Some vacuum cleaners come with pet hair attachments that have spinning brushes and fit on the end of a hose. Those are effective. Poodles and some similar breeds shed very little, so the next dog you get could be one of those.

well, you can't completely get rid of it, but you can take some preventative measures. First, your mom can get allergy shots or take allergy medication (prescribed or over the counter). Also, the more you're exposed the more of an immunity you build. I was allergic to my cat when I first got him (I also have asthma), but over time it got better, and a good friend of mine is extremely allergic to cats, but the more he comes over the less his allergies effect him (until he's gone for awhile and comes back.. then he has to start over). Second, you need to brush your dog daily. This will remove unwanted hair which can get on furniture/carpet, etc. Baths weekly or months are good, too. There are also foods out there that will reduce shedding, and I think there are also shampoos that do that. Third, make sure you're vacuuming furniture, etc. every day. Petsmart has a product called Vac-away. Its a spray meant to remove static from pet hair so it can be vacuumed off of furniture easily (I swear by this stuff, it's really effective). You can also by Fabreeze allergen reducer, which I have also found to be effective. It will take time (weeks or even months) and your mom is going to feel crappy for awhile, but if you are all willing to try to keep up with it then it's worth a shot.

You most definitely need to do something. I would start by demanding if she is not home to watch the dog it must be in a crate . Second cat pee smells so much worse than dog pee. Make sure its not your cat getting pissy about a dog. Cats are more known to pee on beds and furniture than dogs.

yesterday i picked up a hoover carpet scrubber from my fiance's parents house. his brother hoisted it into the backseat of my car without emptying the dirty water from inside of it, hence it dripped onto my back seat, which now smells of dog hair and pee. i've tried everything from special carpet solutions to febreeze but nothing has rid the odor. help! it's unbearable for me to drive with the smell.

Personally i use a pet hoover, with 8 dogs, we have 3 hoovers and they are long haired. If you let dog in car, you will get hairs like in your house in the air, get a seat liner to go on back of seat and keeps it cleaner, power wash and hoover the car... dont buy cheap hoovers for removing pet hair they are not that good...or throw throws over seats or crate him in car with his own pet blankets, ours have their own blankets and stuff and we dont have hairs in the car. Also a pair of rubber gloves and brush against the hair in the car, works wonders, same on suites etc, or a pet glove does same trick
