You should be warned, however, quick lime and slaked lime are CAUSTIC, meaning they will burn flesh and eyes if they should make contact- that`s an immediate thing. While quick lime is well, quick to the "punch", slaked lime is only caustic enough to burn flesh, avoid getting it in your eyes though, that`d still burn- just stay away from them, okay?

Not at all lime is not harmful to plants over the left - lime has many of benefits to start to it but one suggestion or even rule is never use it with fertilizer .
