The DSi XL is absolutely built for Skype. With that added capability, and perhaps a book reader, the DSi especially the XL could challenge even the iPad. Skype for dsi is a good idea but now there is no mods and hacks to do skype work on DSi XL.

Dsi does not have any great mods to make you use skype on it so you cannot use skype on your dsi.

You can use skype on nintendo but it is really a slow but in case of psp it is built in in psp but in case of nintendo you must have to download from the net it is easy skyping for nintendo is easy and it can work on nintendo but you first have to install skype its necessary for nintendo

A general trend regarding the downloading of skype onto your nintendo dsi is that the dsi is not good at it. If you try to play a youtube video, it gets so slow. Skype is a far high thing. It is heard that nintendo people are working on it but they have made no official announcement or confirmation regarding skype for dsi.

It isn`t skype that does it, it`s your computer. There should be a setting in the control panel under sounds and under communications. so if you want to install and use the skype on the dsi then you should know that the dsi has no such type of option until there is any skype app available for use for the dsi in future. but now mostly users havfe tried to download the msn messenger but they were unable to do it so there is much doubt that dsi supports the skype to be used yet. lets hope for the best in the future

No you need your cell for it but i went the site on dsi and it said u need to put ur cell but you can download but it will say not a supported file
