this may sound very trivial, but i logged onto gameranger and now i want to log my friends account in on my computer, and i don't know how to log out.i have spent ages looking for the sign out button, but i just can't seem to find it.

You're not missing anything. There currently is no sign-out feature, but this is planned. The easiest way right now is to simply uninstall, and tick the "also remove account settings" box. You can then quickly reinstall.

Q. Can my pc friend use gameranger to play age of empires with me?
i have a mac, and he has a pc. on the mac, it only gives you the option to play online with game ranger, and it says you can use it on a pc. how would that work if it did?

Age of Empires can be played online with GameRanger on Mac and on PC, but unfortunately, they cannot be played against each other. None of the Age of Empires games are compatible between Mac and PC. If your Mac is an Intel Mac, you may be able to install Windows on it natively using BootCamp, or you could use a virtual machine like VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop to run Windows in Mac OS X. Both of these methods will let you run the PC version of Age of Empires and play with your friend.

when i get into a aom room on game ranger and we "launch game" it never works! it just takes me to a lan direct play or something. am i doing something wrong?

if anyone is using vista they need to run aom as an administrator, and turn UAC off, hope that helps =]

U were probably making an account and U my haav accidently clcked something or when a page said: The Webpage has Expire. SO U'll have to wait for tomorrow, a week or maybe a month.

as stated above im using mac osx leopard i have the game age of empires 3 and want to be able to play online, so i was told to download gameranger by the game. when i began the download and made the new account, it constantly tells me that the proxy server cannot be reached. i checked my email for comformation, and the email was not there. i have no idea what proxy even means, and i need help with this.

This was a recent bug with the Setup Assistant. It should be fixed now.
