Q. How to save games onto sd card from dsi?

"Then copy to sd card..."

You are able to play downloaded games on the Nintendo DSi console if you have the famous R4i card or a similar one. You simply download the game , unarchive it , then copy to SD card , then play it on your DSi . Remember:you need to buy the game to be legal. Thomas Norrington

Q. Can you save games to your sd card on the dsi?

"The sd card of the nintendo dsi is for storing music..."

The SD card of the nintendo dsi is for storing music, movies, pictures and other data. The games you save are not being stored on the SD card, rather on an internal drive of the DSi game card, which makes your saved game data available on any device you insert the game card into. Jack Russel

Q. Where do i save games on my r4i card?

"You want to put games on r4i card then you need a program like..."

You cant save your games on the r4i directly. Because the games you save are not being stored on the SD card it is stored in your internal memory. If you want to put Games on r4i card then you need a program like winrar and jzip to open .rar files and also a micro sd card. Then download the game After download the game, uncompressed the file with winrar and finds the nds file. Just drag the nds file into your sd card to play the game.

Q. Can you save gamecube game progresses on the sd card in wii console?
i want to play some gamecube games on my wii, but i don't know if i need the specific gamecube memory card for game saves. sd cards provide much more space than those tiny memory cards. even the internal memory of wii is far bigger than those. please tell me if i need to snatch one for gamecube games on wii. thanks a lot.

"Sd memory card..."

Straight from the nintendo support site, interpret this as you will: The type of memory card you can use will depend on the type of data you intend on saving or loading. Please choose below: SD Memory Card: Saving all non Nintendo GameCube game data Nintendo GameCube Memory Card: Used for saving Nintendo GameCube game data But the good news is, that there are slots on the top of the wii for gamecube memory cards, and thankfully those are not expensive.

Q. Can i use any old sd card on my wii? can gamecube games save to an sd card or do i have to have a gc card?
i know only one size of sd card will fit the slot, but do i have to buy a wii-specific one or would a standard sd card do the trick? and do i need a gamecube memory card to save gamecube games?

"You can copy gamecube savestates to an sd card for backup like you can..."

SD cards are SD cards, it doens't have to be Nintendo branded. You do have to have Gamecube memory in order to play gamecube games. I don't even think you can copy Gamecube savestates to an SD card for backup like you can with Wii savestates and channels.

Q. Can you use your sd card to save gamecube games that are played on the wii?
i know that you can't use a gamecube memory card to save wii games, but what about sd cards (normally used to save wii games) to save gamecube games played on your wii? i ask this because i have an sd card, but i would like to not buy another memory card just to play wii games. what are gamecube memory cards priced at? are they expensive?

"Buy an adapter for the gc memory card slot so you could use your..."

I think you must mean "just to play GameCube games"... No, they are not expensive. I bought mine used from a used game store - just had to delete everything off of it when I got it home. It cost about 15 dollars and it's a pretty big one. You could instead buy an adapter for the GC memory card slot so you could use your SD card for that purpose too. http://www.amazon.com/Gecko-Memory-Adapter-Nintendo-GameCube/dp/B000RC51Q4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1205170953&sr=8-2

Q. How to i save wii games on a sd card?
i just received the sd card today that i had bought from ebay, but not sure how to save games on it. my wii has all the updates. when i am playing a game, i save it, but it saves it on my hard drive not my sd card. it doesn't give me the option to save it on my sd card. please help me, thanks.

"To transfer them to the sd card..."

the games will only save to the system memory. to transfer them to the sd card, you have to do it manually. from the wii menu, click on the wii settings in the bottom left corner. then choose memory(not sure if this is what the icon is named, but it's the one on the left) from there, you can manage gamesaves, downloaded VC games, and gamecube memory cards.

Q. Why can i not save games to a wii sd card and play them on a different wii console?
my friend has saved games on hes wii sd card and let me use it. but they will not save to my wii console, why is this? is there any way to transfer games from one wii to another?

As far as I know, that's an anti-piracy measure put in place by Nintendo. I don't think there is a way to copy downloaded games between consoles.

Q. Can you save gamecube games on an sd card for the wii?
say i am playing a gamecube game (smash melee/ zaelda, etc) and i want to save the game. can i save it on an sd card inserted in the wii?

"Internal storage (including sd card..."

In Short: NO! When you start up a Gamecube game, all non-Gamecube components are disabled... This means that your Wiimotes, WiFi card & internal storage (including SD card) are disabled. You'll need a gamecube memory card (generally an MC-251 is suggested for most Gamecube players... It's a black card) to save your progress in the Gamecube Games. I know it's not the answer you want to hear, but it's the harsh truth.

Q. Can i use a regular sd card to save data like wii games?
i just bought, but haven't opened a laxar 2 gb sd card, and i was wondering if i would be able to save game data and other stuff using it. i'm not sure if i can so it is not open yet. thanks. does any sd card work or it just works for pictures? i didn't want to buy the sd card from the wii company because it was too expensive, like $60 when i got the one i just bought for $20. thanks. sorry, it is a lexar 2gb sd card, not laxar.

"I'm pretty sure any sd card will work..."

I'm pretty sure any SD card will work. I actually used a SD card from a camera for the Photo Channel; that works. However, I would be on the safe side and return it and get the SD card Nintendo recommends. You might also want to check Owner's manual for your Wii to see if it says what SD cards are compatible w/ the Wii.

Q. If i transfer a game to sd card from wii, will my games continue to save on the sd card?
i want them on my sd card instead of taking up wii memory.

"You can't play them directly off of the sd..."

You can save them there, but you can't transfer them to other Wii consoles. Also, you can't play them directly off of the SD. So, you'll have to transfer the game onto the Wii internal memory. See the "source" for more info.

Q. Can i download wii games n save to sd card?
i download wii games and upload it on sd card, when i insert the sd card into my wii console, its not working... is there anyway how to do and play the uploaded games?

"Be able to access it on the sd menu (it's a little sd card..."

Game data has to be on the console for it to work. You can go to the memory storage in the menu and move a game to the wii you can put it back when you want to. If you mean a VC or WiiWare game, then you should be able to access it on the SD Menu (It's a little SD card on the menu screen.) On the other hand, if you mean an actual Wii game that you put on the SD card, that would be pirating software. I can't really tell what you mean so I just wrote things that I could assume from what you said.

Q. Do you need an sd card to save games for the wii?
i dont have a wii yet but i was looking at gamestops website and went to see how much the memory cards are and they sid its like $60 or $100 for either a 1g or 2g sd card i dont want to spend that much for a memory card so is it needed to save games or is it only for the photo channel or inporting sonds to certain games?

"Space so you won't need a memory card for a while...."

No you don't. It has an internal memory that has 512 Mb of space so you won't need a memory card for a while.
