It is possible.First go to youtube and click a vid and it will say it doesnt work.hit udate flash and it will open saying that it is not avilable for this system.put it in (sd card) and a window will pop up saying if you want to save to removable drive hit yes (you must have 2gig sd card because it takes that much to save it.after take out the sd card and hit refresh and it will say the same thing.pop it in and the video will start.

Yes. I am 99.9% sure about this. I have a friend who has Japanese video games for his DS, (we are in America),and he has absolutely no problems. And.. I personally just bought a Japanese video game, and on the item description page it said "no region protection", as well as, "This game is compatible with any versions of the Nintendo DS console"; (aka U.S or Japan, etc, versions). The .1% doubt, is because I cannot say "yes", being completely legitmate, as I do not own a DSi. HOWEVER, the DSi works the same way as the regular DS (the fact that DSi's still play regular DS games), so I wouldn't worry about it. If you have any more questions, you could probably email, or call, Nintendo of America, they'd definitely know! ;) <also, I think it might depend on the game, make sure to fully read the product description to be sure!!!>

If you can find an SD Card big enough that fits within the DSi, go ahead. Depending on what sort of 'movies and videos' you plan to watch the answer will vary (since some videos can be 500MB up to 4GB ). I would say it's possible if it's the correct format and if you have enough memory on your DSi.
