Q. My dogs ate half a tub of butter to him.? my two 8 month old puppies where in the kitchen and got hold of a tub of butter, they must of eaten about 250 grams between them. whats the worst that could happen? what do i need to do?

Q. Will using a tub i gave my dogs a bath in for a water tub harm my mare? my mare is pregnant and needs to be put up in a stall until she foals because we have a lot of festus (sp?) grass in our field that is keeping her from producing milk. but for her water tub i want to use the tub i had just given my dogs a bath in the other day. i used a scrubber brush and scrubbed it a bit. but will using it for a water tub for her harm her?
reason i'm asking is because i know water that mop suds have been in can kill a horse, what about dog soap suds?

Fescue is the type of grass you have. We have it too. Pretty to look at, and good for non pregnant livestock. There is a newer type that doesn't grow the fungus, but it isn't as hardy as the old fungus growing stuff, so it is still very prevalent. You are doing the right thing in bringing the mare in from the pasture for the last 3 months of her pregnancy and while she is nursing her foal.
You can use the tub, but you need to thoroughly scrub it with a 10% bleach solution. I would leave it to sit a few hours in the sun, then dump and rinse several times. That should make it ok. We scrub the waterers with bleach water weekly in the summer to keep down bacteria and other bad things. It's what most water treatment plants use to make human drinking water safe.

Q. How do you wash a dog in a tub when it has a fear of water? there is a stray dog running around and somehow it bit and ripped some of my dog's flesh off.we took him to the vet and and it was so deep that they could not stitch him.so here we are trying to get stumpy(i named him when i was three) into the tub to wash the wound. but the freaking dog won't get in. please help.

Dont feel the tub with water. just set him in and let him get use to it. then introduce the water as if it was a drinking bowl. THen slowly pour the water over him and let him get used to the water being him. This is how I got my dogs to love the water and now they always jump in the tub with me. good luck

Q. Does any know of this dog grooming tub? im looking for a dog tub, i seen one at a previous employer that i worked for. its a tub that looks like it is made out of similar material of a "human" dog tub. and has a "wood" like look to it at parts. it is made with a walk like in entry where you do not have to lift large dogs. it also has a part that you can attach to the top, "shelve" like where you can put little dogs on. does anyone have a web page where i can order one from? thanks!

Growing rhubarb in huge tub with dog in garden is it safe? ive just bought a rhubarb plant and im getting a really large tub to plant it in,ive got a chihuahua dog hes only 6" tall so not even half the height of the tub im buying,i have only since heard that the leaf is toxic,i dont think he will be able to reach it,but if he did what would it do to him?has anyone elses dog eaten the leafs and got badly ill?

Q. Where to buy a garden water tub / reservoir for dog? i'm wanting to buy a large water reservoir for the garden for my dog. i don't know if 'reservoir' is the right name, but it's not a paddling pool either. if you've ever seen the dog whisperer on national geographic or sky one, i'm looking for the sort of thing cesar has in the yard where he keeps his dogs. something no more than 7.5 feet in diameter and around one metre deep.

Q. Why do some people bathe their dogs in the bathroom tub? i asked this question and got accused of being racist. just as a disclaimer, it was not meant to be racist. as a matter of fact, i worded is rather carefully just so that it would not come off as being racist as i said that the main people i've noticed who do this are white. people get so paranoid when you name color, but did it ever occur to you people that certain cultures do things differently from others? i was making an observation and from what i've seen most other people of color (minorities in general) find it appalling that some people wash their dogs in the bathtub. it is true that the tub can be cleaned, however, it's not just the bacteria and filth, but dog hair has a tendency to
seriously clog a drain. so again, i find it unwise in more ways than one. so why do people do this? is it a cultural issue because let's face it, the only one's that i've heard of doing this are white. it's not racist if it's true. :-\
i'll just chalk this up to cultural differences. in the winter my mom would bathe our dog in the laundry room sink, and in the summer either the groomer or this big tin tub that she filled with water in the yard. i was raised in a home where the dogs are separate from the family. they didn't have the roam of the house (because of the beige carpet) they didn't lick us in the face (they were trained not to do that), and they definitely didn't get bathed in the same tub. now, that i'm an adult, i exercise the same principles and i just find it strange that people bathe their dogs in the same tub, is all.
