The volume control on L655 would appeae to Fn 3 for down and Fn 4 up.Hope this helps

I don`t know why either, I looked all over the web for help, and no one seemed to know, this is what I did on my toshiba running windows 7: I went to "speakers properties.....click on Advanced tab.... under the Exclusive mode: uncheck "Allow aplications to take exclusive control of this device.....click apply......under the enhancement tab.....click on "disable all enhancements"... click apply..... This worked for me, I hope it helps.

My laptop Toshiba L 360 speakers screech when I move it while playing the music. Is there a way to fix or is by default designed to be like that?

That`s probably normal. Several machines let you know that they`re connected to the charger by an audio signal. Likely the only way to disable it would be in the BIOS setup. If it`s not there, then you`ll probably just have to live with it... In XP, Go to control panel, sounds and audio devices, click the advanced button in the device volume section in volume tab, make the PC beep option mute. If you dont see the option, go to options -> properties in the sam window, enable the "Show PC beep control"
