is this a good deal? i'll be going to college soon, and im looking a good reliable laptop.
"http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=n82e16834115369 just boost the memory...its an acer too..."
I am sorry but what you want it for really won't work out. For school work... you need Microsoft Word...there is more money to spend...Your internet speed may be ok...but I REALLY reccomend you downloading Mozilla Firefox...I use it and it is SUPER FAST and my Explorer is SLOW. Games: NO WAY. The intel media accelerators are HORRIBLE...i can tell you are on a low budget like me because Celeron M processors arent that great but i advise you to get a ATI Radeon graphic card or Nvidea graphic card to play some games.... here are some sites for some laptops that are low price and for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115369
just boost the memory...its an Acer too! :)
Boost the memory on this too:

Q. How good is this gaming pc setup? please rate my setup on a scale from 1-10 and feel free to make any suggestions! it's being custom built by a company called memory express, it's being assembled and getting the os loaded for $70.00. the total cost is $2,969.79 (canadian)

9/10......If you can afford it.
I'd reccomend you use the new i7 processor, not Intel - Core™2 Quad Processor. It's the newest one, best, but most expensive.
RAM: you could bulk up a bit more on RAM, maybe 4GB more for REAL good performance.
Hard Drive: Is it a single 1TB drive?? If it is, try using 2 or more HDD's set up in RAID Stripe.
Video Card should have 1GB, but with your other parts, 896 should be all right.

Q. Someone answer at least 1 of my questions o.o? my built in mic wont pick up sound even tho its not muted and all audio levels are up even mic boost.. iv asked this question over 50 times and no one bothers to even look at question.. so what can i do to make it work again.. i have windows vista.. pleaseeeee
its a delll xps m1330
"Is damaged or somehow that part of windows doesn't function very well..."
Your laptop has brand name and model #, use it in it's creator's website to find downloads and then find driver downloads for audio, If too many different audio drivers are there, then find the proper one by going to the audio properties and finding out which driver you have.
Also download the Bios for your laptop and after full back up of your files, run it up, restart and wait to everything loads; if the sound doesn't work here the problem could be the Mic itself.
Another thing it could be a part of the computer is damaged or somehow that part of windows doesn't function very well , and the reinstalling the windows should fix it for good. If the problem it's not the hardware itself.
If you don't know how to find the Manufacture of your laptop, just find the brand name like "Toshiba" or "Dell" or "HP" or "Sony", and then find the exact model of this laptop (This should be in the back), and type the combination of these words in your favorite search engines, like Google or Yahoo! search + go to results and find yours.
Go to the support or driver download page, each site is different so, just follow the steps to find drivers for your laptop model.
<<Someone answer at least 1 of my questions o.O?>>
Because you don't give out detailed information about your question it is kind of hard to research about it, and you may don't see answers because there could be too many different laptops and systems, we don't know what is the exact problem on what kind of laptop?
Microphone on what type of laptop? Each of them follow similar or different direction to troubleshoots to be able to solve the problem.
If you could give out the brand name and model, then Y! Answer members would have more option in recognizing the exact problem to be able to answer about it.
All the above are important when it comes to different systems and it's software or method of function.
Good Lock, and hope that works for you.

well the gts 250 is faster, but if you look at the "Memory Interface Width" the gtx 260 is 2 times better gts= 256 bit gtx=448 bit. with more bandwith there must be more power, so the speed is in comparison with how much the card is handling so its actually faster then the other one just in a different way. i would still go with the GTX.

Seriously... I'd go for the GTS 250... Many may doubt that decision, bit trust me on this one.. Yeah, the GTS is slightly below the 260 in performance...But its sure damn cheap... You said that you gotta a deal on that card... Well ignore it and get the 250..and if its getting outdated...SLi both of them.... And you won't have to worry about your gaming capabilities for a really long time...
