Hello, How often can a dog be washed? I was hoping someone could give me a couple pointers. I am hoping somebody knows about this and will post the answer. Please :)

Dog can be washed one a week and i guess it won`t be too bad. But i know that you won`t do it so often so it is good. I will do the following - i will wash him if he is dirty or smells but if he is good smelling and clean than there are no reason to wash him :) John Doubtson

Q. Husband washed dog bed w/out disinfectant in washer then put load in dryer. how get odor out of clothes dryer?
the dryer smells like the dirty wet dog & bed before it was washed, now baked in to the dryer. i already tried to disinfect and deodorize with wipes and spray then ran dryer hoping to replace baked in smell but no luck. what can i clean it with or do to remove this kind of smell? help!

put a damp towel soaked in bleach in the dryer to run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am having a hard time with just a google search?? i just want him to be washed. would a normal groomer do this? is it safe to bring him to a pet store? do i have to make an appointment?

Look up pet groomer in the phone book. I know pets supplies does grooming and yes normally you would need an appointment.

i just washed my dog with my shampoo and he has nats flying all over her. how do i avoid that and/or what do i have to buy to get thm nats away from her? what attracts the nats?

What type of shampoo did you use? Is it possible you didn't get it all out of her fur? And if it is a human shampoo- you really should use a pet (dog) shampoo since dogs have different skin types than people. Is it possible that she got into something after the bath that attracted the flies? If the flies don't go away I would bath her again-make sure its a pet shampoo- if you used a pet shampoo use a different one. One that's hypoallergenic is usually perfume free since some dogs can have allergic reactions to perfume- if that is what is attracting the flies that should get rid of them.

Q. My dog is a mess. on average, how much does it cost to have a dog washed and professionally furminated?
i'm feeling exceptionally lazy, plus i have one bum arm. 80 lbs lab. doesn't need to be trimmed or anything, though a nail clipping would be an added bonus.

we whent out for the day and the dog peed on the ottoman and couch, when we returned it was dry already but it smells.

I would remove the covers and then hand wash them. If you can get to a large pet store you will be able to buy a spray cleaner intended to remove the odor. Make sure that the urine didn't get through the microfiber and into the cushion. If the dog can smell the pee the dog will be very likely to go back to the "scene of the crime" and pee again so during this process keep the dog away from the furniture until you are certain that the problem is solved. Good luck. This happened to me with a leather couch and there is no fix in that situation. You should be fine.

On average they are bathed every 6 weeks, but if you dog is smelly was him.... some give baths as often as once a week... just use a conditioner on your pooch if you wash more frequently

what is considered a good deal for those kinds of services? i'm looking into having our dog professionally groomed and bathed since it's cold outside and we don't have a tub we can bathe her in inside. she's a 55 lbs lab mix if this helps.

I found petco to have the best deal, $35 for my very large rott/lab mix. Smaller boutique places wanted $100.

without thinking, i applied a flea/tick treatment to my dog tonight. it was just one of those small packets that you apply straight down the back. then i remembered family is coming over tomorrow for thanksgiving... oops!! my dog stinks terribly and her coat does not look well. she really needs a bath!! if i bathe her tomorrow morning, will all of the medicine ultimately come off? :( thanks in advance.

Frontline Plus is water proof as long as you wait a few days after applying it, and with internal flea medications like Capstar and Sentinel, there is nothing to wash off.

Dogs don't need to be washed that often unless they get into something really messy. The frequency of the bath depends upon two things, your dog's breed and the kind of activities he is involved. Look at your dog, if it looks dirty and smells dirty, it sure needs a good scrub. But bathing your dog too often will rob your dog of her natural protective layer of skin. On an average, at least a 15 day gap is good. This site should help.

old one,and that one fell apart.the rug is for inside use only.i would like to know where i could get one at a reasonable price.any suggestions,ideas?

Have you tried Walmart? I bought two lambskin like rugs for my dogs for about $10 each. They were in the pet section.
