It depends on manufacture that how much video can hold 16gb sd card.It depends on different video quality.Low quality of card must so much compression in video but high quality is less compression and record time of video in 16gb sd card is very less than low quality of card.

THE HD videos are the high qualiity videos and they take so much space on the memory that you cannot store for the long running time on yoiur memory cards. i can give you the example that you can store an avi file onto your 16gb memory card for the running time of about 20 hours but on the same 16gb you can store only 80 minutes of the hd video.

the 16GB is a good memory or i can say is a fantastic memory but i recommend you to have more then 16GB Memory because the requirements are changed now a days and the users want to copy the whole 2gb films in the memory cards and 16gb becomes less for the huge dvd movies available in the market. so i think the 32Gb is more recommended
