Technically they are two different medicines so you can apply them as close as you want although my boss DR. Koprowski DVM says that its probably best for the cat or dog to wait at least two weeks.

the instructions say at least 5 days. so the dogs/cats natural body oils to build up again so the drops can spread how they are supposed to. also it helps to reduce risk of skin irritatio.

I applied it yesterday and i love snuggling with her in bed but i am very wary to do so. My husband on the other hand could care less. he just ate a sandwich that she licked!!! You should use according to the packaging, which is either montly, every 3 months or depending on the brand ect. I know that hartz is generally every month so reapply every 30days.
