to find the equilizer on your acer laptop depends entirely on the operating systems that you have on your acer laptop. for example if you have the windows xp as the operating system then you can click the sound equilizer located on the task bar and adjust the settings. if you have the windows 7k operating system then you can go to the control panel for the equilizer settings.

In VLC media player there is a option to increase volume upto 200% but it is not enough So, I am telling you one tips in same player you can increase your speaker volume upto 400% pressing key (ctrl n up arrow ). Try it.. Ms. Bijay Laxmi Lakra

I had the same problem. The Realtek audio driver is the problem. I messed around trying to find settings to stop the beep, but never found one. You will have to uninstall Realtek audio driver. When you reboot, Windows will automatically start installing a different driver to replace Realtek. As soon as that finishes, your problem will be fixed

Your drivers will not let you go beyond the imposed maximum limit. Going beyond will distort the sound and maybe burn your speakers or soundboard. You could install sound enhancers for your media player, but that will not make the sound louder. For louder sound you need to buy externally powered speakers that are amplified. Thomas Norrington

In the lower right corner of your task bar there is a speaker icon. Right click it, select open volume mixer and you should be able to gain a couple bars of volume by raising the bar all the way up.
