i have access to the internet and i'm wondering what the latest update can let you do. if youu know anything of future dsi updates that would be great too, especially w/links. i'm really looking foward to an internet browser flash player. like youtube.

my brother has a dsi and he needs help trying to connect to the internet but we don't have a wifi connector. every time i try i end up with my home-network and a 2wire. can someone help? thank you! ^_^!

please don't just say go to internet settings, find a connection, test it, and wait for it to say connection successful. that won't work, but i know that people can use the connections on their laptops and ipod touches and iphones. but how do you do it on a dsi?

It is completely free. You set up your internet connection by finding a wireless connection in range and selecting it. Then you go to the DSi shop and download the browser for free. Then you go back to the menu and there it is for you to select and browse the internet with.

I've heard that the Nintendo DS and DSi systems cannot connect to certain types of encrypted networks. Are you using just basic WEP or some more advanced form of it? Are you sure it's WEP and not WPA? Check you router. If you have a Linksys, make sure your computer is physically connected to your router then type 192.168.1.1 (including the periods) into your address bar on your computer browser to access your settings. Click Wireless and then Wireless settings. Make sure security mode is set to WEP. It this isn't your problem, then I don't know what it would be. EDIT: If you don't have a Linksys router, then search on Google the name of your router with the phrase "IP address" to find out how to access your settings. Example: "Belkin ip address"

When you get the DSi,connect it to the internet via wifi connection.Next,go online to the DSi store using the option to do so on your DSi menu/Download the web browser for free.Go back to your menu,then click on it.The DSi's internet is slow as f*ck,and you can only look at text on it.That means no youtube,no flash...basically no nothing.Think of it like this.Lets say your house had a power outage,but the other houses on your block didn't.You really need to get on the internet to check your email.Your only options are to use your DSi and connect to your neighbors unprotected wireless router,or drive down to the library and use one of the computers there.You'd choose the Library.Lets say the library is closed.You'd say,'meh,I can check it later if the power comes on'.Thats how sh*tty the browser is for the DSi.I guarantee you will play with the browser for 5 minutes,then you'll never touch it again.You'd better rethink your present for Christmas if you can,or beg for a laptop. -Christian
